ktkm2026@gmail.comComprehensive support for international students and foreign nationals planning to live in Japan, from pre-arrival life planning to everyday life in Japan.
KTKM’s Foreign Resident Support Services provide comprehensive support for international students and foreign nationals planning to live in Japan, from pre-arrival life planning to everyday life in Japan.
Moving to Japan for study or other purposes can involve many uncertainties, including housing, living expenses, part-time employment, transportation, and adapting to everyday life.
However, living in Japan is not simply about avoiding problems.
Each person may have their own goals and experiences they hope to have in Japan:
At KTKM, we begin by understanding each individual’s preferences, lifestyle, goals, and experiences they want to have in Japan through questionnaires and personal consultations.
We then use this information to develop a realistic plan covering living expenses, housing, part-time employment, and other aspects of daily life.
Rather than simply providing average costs and general information, we focus on answering the question: “What kind of life in Japan is realistic and suitable for this person?”
We also provide information through documents, videos, and other resources before arrival, while offering ongoing support through chat after the individual arrives in Japan.
Living in Japan as an international student or foreign resident involves a wide range of challenges. KTKM initially focuses on the following areas.
We help estimate the cost of living in Japan based on each individual’s lifestyle and preferences.
In addition to regular expenses such as rent, food, communication, and transportation, we also provide reference information on variable expenses such as medical care, clothing, dining out, and entertainment.
We consider factors such as:
This allows us to create a personalized living expense plan rather than relying solely on a general average.
We provide information and support for finding suitable housing based on the individual’s preferred living environment, budget, and lifestyle.
Options may include shared houses, student residences, and rental apartments.
We also consider factors such as accessibility to school and potential workplaces, as well as housing options that are more accessible to foreign residents.
The final rental contract and related procedures are completed by the individual. KTKM provides information, guidance, and support throughout the process.
We help identify suitable part-time employment based on factors such as Japanese language ability, personality, purpose of working, preferred conditions, physical ability, and lifestyle.
We consider factors including:
We also organize the process from:
so that individuals can prepare for each step before arriving in Japan.
We provide videos and materials covering the basics of Japanese job interviews, including appropriate manners, common questions, how to answer them, how to complete a resume, and behaviors to avoid.
Our goal is to help people who are unfamiliar with Japanese workplace culture understand the interview process and feel prepared before attending an actual interview.
At KTKM, we believe that support should go beyond simply helping people live in Japan.
We also care about what each person wants to experience in Japan.
Before arrival, we ask about interests and goals such as:
These preferences can then be incorporated into their overall life plan, including living expenses, housing, and part-time employment.
Our goal is to help transform “living in Japan” into “experiencing Japan in your own way.”
We organize expected living expenses based on each individual’s lifestyle and preferences.
Regular expenses such as rent, food, communication, and transportation are separated from variable expenses such as medical care, clothing, dining out, and entertainment.
This helps individuals understand how much money they may realistically need to live in Japan.
We organize the costs required when starting a new life in Japan, including airfare, housing-related expenses, daily necessities, and initial living expenses.
We also consider:
Based on these factors, we help individuals determine how much money they should realistically prepare before coming to Japan.
We help identify suitable types of part-time work and potential workplaces based on each individual’s abilities, preferences, and lifestyle.
We consider factors such as experience hiring foreign workers, working conditions, shift availability, and location when searching for suitable opportunities.
We provide interview preparation videos and materials to help individuals prepare for part-time employment in Japan.
We also collect feedback regarding interviews and workplace environments and accumulate this information to improve future job selection and support.
After the initial consultation and throughout their stay in Japan, individuals can ask questions and discuss concerns related to their daily lives through our designated chat service.
Support covers areas such as living expenses, part-time employment, housing, transportation, and everyday life within the scope defined by KTKM.
Questions and consultation cases are also accumulated and analyzed to improve our ability to respond to a wider range of situations.
Clicking this takes you to the application form. No detailed personal information is sent at this point, and no contract is made. It simply shows you a fuller explanation of the support, so you can understand it better.
At KTKM, we believe that the value of a service is not limited to solving a problem. We also value the experiences that become possible as a result of that support. In our Foreign Resident Support Services, this can mean:
We organize important information before arrival to reduce uncertainty and anxiety about life in Japan.
Rather than relying solely on average figures, we consider each individual’s circumstances and preferences when discussing living expenses, housing, employment, and other aspects of daily life.
KTKM does not aim to do everything on behalf of the individual. Instead, we focus on providing the knowledge and information necessary for individuals to make their own decisions and take action while living in Japan.
Through documents, videos, consultations, and chat support, we help individuals develop the ability to handle situations independently.
We do not believe there is one correct lifestyle for every foreign resident. Instead of assuming that someone should have a particular job or lifestyle simply because they are an international student or foreign resident, we consider factors such as:
We organize realistic options and allow the individual to make the final decision.
We value not only the experience of living in Japan, but also what each individual can experience during their time here.
These experiences can become an important part of their time in Japan.
Each of these experiences can contribute to the feeling that: “I’m glad I came to Japan.”
Therefore, KTKM’s goal is not simply to help foreign residents avoid difficulties in Japan.
Our goal is to understand: “What kind of time do you want to spend in Japan?” and support each individual in making that experience possible.
That is KTKM’s Foreign Resident Support Services.
Living in Japan Support is not just an FAQ or an information website. We organize the information, options, and details you need so that you can make good decisions about your own life in Japan.
Visa and entry preparation, essential procedures, daily life rules, transportation, banks, mobile phones, utilities, shopping, garbage disposal, and the basics of everyday life in Japan.
The value is not the volume of information, but being able to find what you need when you need it.
Rent, food, transportation, communication, entertainment, healthcare, initial setup costs, emergency funds, and part-time income.
Instead of showing average figures, we help you think about how much you will need in your own situation.
Housing options, rent, initial costs, contracts, utilities, daily necessities, and local rules.
We do not decide where you should live. We help you compare the options and judge what fits you.
Where to find jobs, how to apply, interview preparation, workplace considerations, working hours, income planning, and balancing study and work.
We do not apply for jobs on your behalf. We give you the information and support to decide for yourself.
Hospitals, clinics, dental care, insurance, emergency situations, and where to seek help.
We provide basic knowledge and guidance. We do not provide medical treatment or professional diagnosis.
Japanese culture, language, manners, local experiences, food culture, seasonal events, and everyday discoveries.
Living in Japan is an experience in itself. Enjoying that time is part of the value we want to support.
We don’t make every decision for you. We help you make better decisions for yourself.
Information → Options → Understanding → Decision → Experience. We do not simply hand over information: we help you understand it, apply it to your own situation, and ask us when you need to.
A simple support model: initial support to get you prepared, and ongoing support throughout your life in Japan.
Our aim is continuous support you can turn to when you need it, rather than a limited number of questions.
One initial step. Continuous support throughout your journey.
Support is designed to cover the period from before you arrive in Japan, through your stay, until you return home. Initial support is ¥5,000, and ongoing support is ¥1,000 per month.
Living in Japan Support will officially launch in 2027. We are currently building and improving the guide and the support content to provide a better experience for people living in Japan.
If you are planning to study or live in Japan, or if you have concerns about living expenses, housing, part-time employment, or everyday life in Japan, please feel free to contact us.
KTKM provides personalized support from pre-arrival life planning through everyday life in Japan, based on each individual’s needs, goals, and desired experiences.
Consultations are available in English.
